Holiday Parade:  (Date to be determined)  This year's theme is "Circus".  Contact Becca Scarborough or Cindy Macquarrie to sign up for a costume.  Our Parade entries have garnered several awards including 2 "Best in Parade".  We have a great time participating in the Parade and if you have never done it before, it is something you need to consider.  We have fun making our costumes, seeing all of the community support is very uplifting and the memories are priceless.    (For those who have trouble walking a long distance, we will have a float for you to ride on.)

NEW!!  WOMAN'S WORLD

Mark your calendars for Newcomers' newest addition, "Woman's World." This lecture series is open to all current members who would like to learn more from local experts on topics of interest to women. The monthly events will take place on the third Monday of each month January through May at 4 pm at Keller Williams Realty, 715 Bald Eagle Drive (Next to Porky's Restaurant). No reservations are required. For further information contact Pat Walsh. Consult the Newcomers Directory for contact information.

This year's topics are:
Cosmetic Procedures, January 18th - Everything you need to know on topics such as facial peels, micro-dermabrasion, skin care and other non-invasive techniques.

Marco Fair, February 18th - Learn about Marco Island's many opportunities for Recreation and Learning.  Representatives from many of Marco's facilities and organizations will be on hand to give you a general overview of what they have to offer as well as answer your questions.

Legal Matters, March 15th - This is an encore of last year's Women's World seminars.  There was so much to discuss that we ran out of time and felt it would be beneficial to bring this topic back for this year.  Sample topics are "Wills vs. Trust", "Probate" and "Florida Domicile".

What You Need to Know to Protect Yourself and Your Family, April 19th - With so many different scams being perpetrated these days, our guest speaker will show you the different ways scammers are trying to get into you and your family's wallets, bank accounts, account passwords and much more.

How to Handle a Boating Emergency, May 17th - This seminar will be presented by the Coast Guard Auxiliary and will be a continuation of the program presented at the September luncheon.  They will go into further detail on their newest program, "Suddenly In Command", which was developed to train women on how to handle the boat and make emergency calls in the event something happens to the "captain".
