Membership in the Newcomers Club of Marco Island is extended to all ladies who spend a minimum of six consecutive months on Marco Island, Isles of Capri or Goodland.  Verification of residency must accompany membership application.

When sending any check to the P.O. Box, please indicate the purpose in the memo line: "dues,"
"luncheon," etc.

Annual dues: $40.00, payable January 1st. If dues are not paid by March 31st, a member will become delinquent.  She will then be considered to have resigned and will not be eligible for reinstatement. Renewal reminders with payment instructions will appear in the Newsletter beginning in November. Contact Karen Flaugh for further information. PLEASE NOTE: NEWCOMER DUES RENEWAL

When sending in your Newcomer Renewal Dues, it is required that you sign and submit with your dues payment the "Release and Indemnity Agreement." You may obtain this Agreement at the luncheon in your Newsletter or you may copy and paste the Agreement as written below. PLEASE REMEMBER TO MAIL THE SIGNED RELEASE AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, ALONG WITH YOUR RENEWAL DUES NO LATER THAN MARCH 31, 2008 TO EILEEN CARLSEN. KINDLY CONSULT THE NEWCOMERS DIRECTORY FOR CONTACT INFORMATION.

Release and Indemnity Agreement

In consideration of the Newcomers Club of Marco Island, Inc. (hereinafter Corporation) allowing my participation in the Corporation, I release and waive all liability claims or demands, due to any cause, including negligence of any type, against the Corporation, its officers, Board of Directors, members, and those acting for the Corporation (hereinafter collectively Releasees), for any injury, damage, expense, loss, of any kind, including death, sustained by reason of my or my family’s involvement in Corporation meetings, events, bus trips, activities, Mini Clubs, including involvement at the home of a member, or carpooling (hereinafter collectively Activities). I further agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Releasees from any liability for any injury of any person(s), damage to property, and/or death that may result from negligence of any type by the Releasees or by my negligent or intentional acts or omission while taking part in any of the Activities. I agree to follow the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws of the Corporation. I reside a minimum of six (6) consecutive months on Marco Island, Goodland or Isles of Capri.

Current members must be in compliance with the six-month residency rule contained in our By-laws.

Membership is limited to five (5) years. Members in good standing may elect to spin off to the Just  Friends Club after three (3) years or they may stay in Newcomers for the full term of five (5) years.

GUEST POLICY

 Members are welcome to bring a guest(s) to the luncheons April through December. Guests will not be  included January, February and March due to increased member attendance and limited banquet  facility space.

ANNOUNCEMENT POLICY

Members may not make any announcements related to their businesses or charities. Individual flyers, business cards, coupons or donations may not be handed out or sold at any time to membership during the luncheons. If there is space available, members may pay a nominal fee to advertise in our newsletter. If a current member gives a door prize, we will recognize that member during the give-away.

PRIVACY POLICY

Rosters are published for personal use by membership. Under no circumstances should roster   information (including acquired e-mail addresses) be used for any charitable or commercial use.

BOARD MEETINGS

The Board of Directors will meet the last Monday of each month at 10:00 am in the Community Room of the Fifth Third Bank, 650 Elkcam Circle, next to the Main Post Office.
